- Event Pre-Registration FormStarting to plan a CSTS event? Complete this Pre-Registration form to get the official registration process moving. If you have already set a date and organized your venue, you must complete the Event Registration form. Pre-Registration Deadlines: You must complete this form no later than 8 weeks before your proposed event. You may register your interest at anytime until 1 June. No Pre-Registration forms will be accepted after 1 June. You should refer also to the key deadlines on the Event Registration form including the primary Event Registration deadline of 31 March. Pre-Registration Form Instructions: The form must be submitted by the person named as Lead Organizer. All required fields MUST be completed. Please provide as much detail as possible. If you do not provide sufficient detail, approval of your Pre-Registration will be delayed until all necessary information is received. Events may only be held between 1 June and 30 September. You MUST provide two organizers who can be contacted regarding the CSTS event. Please note that we cannot accept PO Box Addresses as a point of contact. After submission, you will receive a confirmation email (sent to the main email address for the Lead Organizer). This email acknowleges receipt…
- Event Registration FormAlready planned out your CSTS event? Finalised your date(s) and venue(s)? Complete this Registration form to become an officially registered event. If you have not yet set a date and organized your venue, you must complete the Event Pre-Registration form. Registration Deadlines: The primary Event Registration deadline is 31 March. We understand that events being held towards the end of the event window may not have everything in place by this time or you may have only recently discovered “Can’t Stop the Serenity” and decided to host an event. So, depending on when your event will be held, there are different deadlines for when your Registration form is due. For events to be held in June-July – no later than 31 March For events to be held in August – no later than 30 June For events to be held in September – no later than 31 July No Event Registration forms will be accepted after 31 July. Registering by 31 March allows the Global Team to more accurately calculate Global Prize Sponsorship and Merchandise quantities. Please note that registering after 31 March may mean that you miss out on a few very cool things as you may not have…

- Art Contest RulesIn its over five-year history, Can’t Stop The Serenity has raised more than half a million dollars for Equality Now. We can do even more good works, but only if people show up! That’s where you come in. Since we’ve been doing this for more than half a decade now, the novelty factor has worn off, which means it’s more important than ever before to build excitement for CSTS. The logo, poster and t-shirts are critical tools for raising awareness about the event, building excitement, and getting people into theaters around the world. Good luck! We can’t wait to see your submissions! Here are the complete rules for the annual Promotional Art Contest: THE SHINY STUFF: The winner’s artwork will be used as the basis for the T-shirt, poster and promos for the annual CSTS season. Additionally, the winner’s artwork will be featured prominently throughout CSTS’s website and social media outlets. THE RULES: All artwork you submit must be your own. If you plan to incorporate any stock imagery in your entry, you must have documentation showing that you have permission to use and reproduce it. It should go without saying, but we’ll say it anyway. What is Can’t Stop the Serenity?
Can’t Stop the Serenity (CSTS) is a unique opportunity to indulge your geeky side while doing some good! Since 2006, fans have organized screenings of Joss Whedon's Serenity to raise funds and awareness to support Equality Now in their work for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world. Join us as we aim to misbehave for a good cause!-
There are two ways to fight a battle like ours. One is to whisper in the ear of the masses, try subtlely and gradually to change the gender expectations and mythic structures of our culture. That’s me. The other is to step up and confront the thousands of atrocities that are taking place around the world on an immediate, one-by-one basis. That’s a great deal harder, and that’s Equality Now. It’s not about politics; it’s about basic human decency.
