Created for WonderCon 2006 by the California Browncoats to benefit Equality Now, a shirt was given to Jane Espensen and when Joss Whedon saw her wearing it he was, according to Arielle Kesweder of the CABC “all jealous and admiring”. Mark was a guest at the California Browncoats Booth at ComicCon the following year, and after hearing how much Joss liked the design, he happily autographed this shirt!
Mark Sheppard’s “Badger” is one of the most interesting characters in Firefly. He has since gone on to guest roles in Battlestar: Galactica, Medium, Supernatural, Dollhouse and more.

The pair of silver coloured chopsticks has been donated by Chris Bridges, of BashingInMinds.com. Says Chris “This set of chopsticks was a prize given out from the Serenity movie website (remember that?). We were asked to write a short description of River Tam’s escape from the academy, from the viewpoint of an Alliance officer. I did, it won, and I got my prize: a set of chopsticks used when members of the Serenity crew were eating with friends from Haven in the movie Serenity, which was later cut and not even included on the DVD. So I have a prop used in shooting the movie that can’t be seen in the movie, so the only proof I have that it is what it is, is the Certificate of Authenticity – which got water-damaged and destroyed, along with the box. It wasn’t a problem at the time because I never planned to pass it on. I knew what it was, why save the soggy provenance? So what I’m asking you to do is the worst thing anyone can ever ask you to do when you’re buying a prop, which is to please trust me. This is the very same set of chopsticks I received from Universal. I’m hoping that my carelessness doesn’t keep you from a) owning a part of the movie and b) helping a worthy charity. Here’s what I posted at SerenityStuff.com when I won it, with a pic of everything and the winning story.”
