New Book Drive for KNTR
Few people are more charitable than Browncoats. We're asking you to open your hearts once again this year at our 2011 Can't Stop the Serenity event as we partner hand-in-hand with the charity Kids Need to Read.
Kids Need to Read was founded in 2008 when Firefly actor Nathan Fillion and YA author PJ Haarsma saw how budget cuts were affecting school libraries. KNTR's goal is to donate books to schools and institutions that otherwise don't have the funding to purchase books themselves, targeting inner-city schools as well as small, urban charter schools. To date the charity has brought books to over seventy-three libraries and classrooms across the United States.

And now, Browncoats, is where we need your help. We're excited to announce at this year's Can't Stop the Serenity event we'll be holding a book drive for the KNTR charity. For every book you donate, you'll receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our awesome Firefly and Joss themed prizes. Some prizes are valued at over $100. The person who donates the most books per show will also win a prize. Shiny, huh?

While we'll take any children's or young adult books, KNTR does have a list of desired books and asks that all books are new. We thank you in advance for your help in supporting such a great cause.
