Doctor Who Fans Unite is a group of people who love the Doctor in all of his various forms. Our group consists both of fans that have been watching Doctor Who since its beginnings in 1963 and fans that have just started their journey into the worlds of the Doctor with the 9th and 10th incarnations alongside the Torchwood spin-off. Regardless of whether you are only fan of the older series or the new or even if you are only a Torchwood fan, this is the group for you. We are dedicated to anything and everything related to The Doctor.
We welcome anyone with an interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy. Our group meets on a monthly basis. We discuss, watch and debate all aspects of the Who Universe.
In keeping with the Doctor's constant desire to help humans, we plan to give back to the community. We are a nonprofit organization registered with the State of Texas. I'm a 21 year-old college student from Ohio and am nearing completion of my Associates of Art. Making paper and binding books are time-consuming but very relaxing processes. I love making paper because I can take unwanted office paper, junk mail, and household waste papers that have served their purpose and are at the end of their life and save them from the trash. I feel as though I am giving those papers a rebirth, bringing them back at the start of a new journey. They still contain the knowledge from their past life as a grocery list or term paper, but it's all chopped up and no longer readable. So now they are given a second life as a new sheet of paper for someone to write a love note on, create a stunning work of art with, or as a handbound journal to write the next great novel in. The possibilities truly are endless and I love knowing that I am part of a process that allows trash to spur someone else's creativity as well as my own.
