Nashville is standing out this year by hosting a whole weekend of Whedon! WhedonFest is a full blown “Can’t Stop the Serenity” weekend event taking place at Camp Y.I. in LaVergne, TN. This rustic venue offers the perfect setting for our proverbial trip to the rim planets. Take a weekend off from the high-tech activities of the core planets and reserve your bunk! Come for as little or as much serenity as you can handle, with packages available for the full weekend ($75 adult/$65 child) or just some of it. Join us for a fundraiser lunch, charity silent auction, “Serenity’s Salvage Yard” group yard sale, peruse our fine range of merchants and gather around the campfire for some scary Reaver stories. Proceeds will be donated to Equality Now, Nashville CARES and Kids Need to Read Foundation.

Tulsa fans will have the opportunity to see Serenity and Dr. Horrible at the Circle Cinema Theatre on 8/8 @ 8pm. 1. How can I get CSTS to come to Washington state? More specifically Spokane? I would love to help get it to start something up here. I’m sure we could even get some help from SpoCon, our new local Scfi-Fantasy Con. I’d love to know! I love Firefly…oh so very very much…
