CSTS 2021 Greetings & Kickoff Announcements

Greetings, #Browncoats!

2020 was a challenging year for most of us, professionally, personally, and in fandom. However, enterprising local Can’t Stop the Serenity organizers still managed to raise $14,710 for Equality Now and other charities. This is pretty impressive considering all of the obstacles that had to be overcome.

Funds were raised many ways… live online and eBay charity auctions. Patch and t-shirt sales. Virtual events such as streaming watch parties and a “Running of the Jaynes” virtual 5K run/walk (photo attached). There were even a few in-person events utilizing masks, social distancing, and no/low contact raffles.

As we kick-off Can’t Stop The Serenity 2021 (#CSTS2021) you can expect waves and workshops providing guidance on how you can host your own virtual events and safe in-person activities as CDC and local guidelines allow. We’ll be launching the CSTS 2021 Art Contest shortly and asking for volunteers to join the CSTS Global Team. We will work together to overcome the challenges of 2021 as we continue to do good works.

No Power in the Verse…
