Keeping the Signal Going! – EN & the UN

Dear CSTSland and others who support the Cause:

It’s time to do our job and help spread the signal.  Equality Now has made the front page of the Wall Street Journal because they are working on making the world aware about Sexual Harassment within the United Nations. They want to get the word out to as many people as they can.

That’s where you come into the mix.  You can help make a difference by doing two simple things.  A:  Read the following statement from Equality Now and become educated about the matter.  B: Send the message on to everyone you know and urge them to do the same.  Twitter it, post it on your websites, get it out anywhere and everywhere you can.

Let’s help make a difference.

You don’t have to stop there, you can do more.  But just these two little things will help spread the word and keep the signal going.

This is why we are here.

Thank you.

Warm Regards,

From Equality Now

Dear Friend,

Equality Now is featured in two news articles, one of which was on the front page of yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, highlighting the issue of sexual harassment within the United Nations. Equality Now’s campaign centers around the urgent need of the United Nations to improve its internal system of justice by establishing effective, objective and transparent mechanisms of investigation and adjudication of cases of sexual harassment and to end impunity for perpetrators within the system.

The first article is the front page piece in the Wall Street Journal, “Sexual Harassment Cases Plague the UN,” May 21, 2009: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124233350385520879.html

We are also sending you another article from the Associated Press on the same subject in which we are also featured, “Rights Group Urges Reform of UN Justice System,” May 21, 2009: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090521/ap_on_re_us/un_un_sexual_harassment_1

Thank you for supporting Equality Now.
