Browncoats Represent!

The 2017 Global Can’t Stop the Serenity t-shirts are now available to order. We have again partnered with Represent so t-shirts are available to the general public through online sales, allowing anyone to support CSTS even if they can’t make it to an event. And if you are lucky enough to attend an event, you can attend in style and… represent!

Represent is a T-shirt printing company specializing in charity drives. They’ve been the powerful machinery behind several high profile celebrity fundraisers, including efforts by Nathan Fillion, Jewel Staite, Felicia Day, and many others.

100% of t-shirt proceeds will go directly to Equality Now.

Using Represent also means we can offer a wide variety of styles, sizes and colours and with back to back campaigns relaunching automatically every three weeks, you can order at any time throughout the entire CSTS season.… Read more…

Congratulations and well done to artist and designer Nick Kremenek as the winner of this year’s art contest! We were very impressed with the quality of the entries received this year and the voting response.

We hope to see you again in another year’s contest. We received many, many votes during the course of this contest and we would also like to thank each of you for your vote.

Very soon we will be able to let you know how to order the t-shirts and patches. This design is going to look brilliant on them and we can’t wait to share that with you.… Read more…

Could you be a CSTS Global Sponsor?

Each year the global CSTS team supports events in cities all over the world as they raise money for Equality Now and a range of other amazing local charities.

Part of this support is providing merchandise and other items that can be used as prizes at local events in raffles, auctions or competitions.

This year we are again looking for organisations or individuals to help us with this by providing items which we can distribute to the events worldwide.

There are some simple guidelines for what can be accepted:-

  • Ideally we would like 40 of any item so we can distribute one to each participating city
  • Firefly/Serenity or general Whedonverse items are preferable
  • No weapons or weapon-like objects please
  • Preferably nothing that might easily be broken in transit, for example mugs or other delicate items
  • It would also be great if the items were fairly easily to ship as events are all over the world
  • Items must be received by 20 May 2017 to ensure we can start shipping them out before the first events of the season

If you would like to support us but don’t have 40 items, we would still be very interested in talking to you about putting those items in the global auction which happens at the end of each CSTS season, the proceeds of which all go to Equality Now.… Read more…

Welcome to our new Global Event Coordinator

With the 2016 season coming to a close, the Global Steering Committee (GSC) started the process of looking for a new Global Event Coordinator to take over from Annie Burnaman who did such a great job last year.

We’re excited to announce that Bob Averell will be taking over the reins for 2017! Bob is a member of the Pennsylvania Browncoats, Rivers and Bridges Brigade (Pittsburgh), which he helped start back in 2004.  He has been involved with his local CSTS event every year, and we are very pleased that he has agreed to step forward to the global organization.

Bob tells us: “Annie said last year that CSTS is too pretty to die and it’s a testament to all those who have worked at both the local and global level over the years that we are still able to make a mark.”… Read more…
